Purpose Performing Arts Foundation
Performing Arts with PURPOSE!
Purpose Performing Arts foundation is a non-profit organization created to promote creativity, expression and education through the performing arts. The Purpose Foundation was created soley to support young artists through school and extra curricular art studies. It is our goal to promote and support the arts in the Volusia County area as well as further creative expression in the performing arts for the up and coming generation while becoming an integral part of the cultural life of our community.
About Purpose Performing Arts Foundation
Purpose Performing Arts Foundation (PPA) is an Organization founded with the intent of supporting and promoting the benefits of offering the Performing and Fine Arts education to the community. Arts education can be costly. Private schooling tuition, after school training costs and fees, supplies, wardrobe, costuming, and performance fees. With costs like these a quality arts education isn't accessible to everyone. There are young artists with enormous talent that will never have the opportunity to discover their PURPOSE in the arts, because they simply cant afford it. The Purpose Foundation wants to benefit everyone with a passion anad talent for the arts regardless of physical, mental or financial capabilities through outreach classes, workshops and performances as well as with academics through the Purpose Academy of Fine Arts. Purpose Performing Arts Foundation will encourage and prepare students for continued education at the college level by supporting arts programs that offer college prep programs, tutoring, and homeschooling options for extensive training. PPA hopes to work closely with the Purpose Academy of Fine Arts, a new school for the arts right here in Volusia County, as well as with Universities and Conservatories all over the country. It is our goal to help students achieve scholarships, grants and other incentives to train and study at the college level and beyond.
PPA will not only benefit students of the arts but teachers of the arts as well. It is our goal to create a space that is beneficial, useful and necessary to our community not just to our affiliated organizations. The Purpose Foundation facility will provide space for independent contractor employment opportunities to educators of the arts from our community to all over the country. In person or online, through PPA, instructors will have a space to provide technique, choreography, coaching, mentoring and counseling. PPA hopes to be training center that will host and house community talent and artists in residence providing classes and workshops in everything pertaining to performance art, as well as academic education and body wellness education for performers and artists.
The goal of this foundation is to raise money for scholarships and ultimately provide our community with a Performing Arts Center equipped with a theater that is affordable and accessible, and that will serve our community directly.
